Cowboys Fall To 5-6 With More Key Players Hurt

Image(AP) - Cowboys receiver Miles Austin left the Thanksgiving Day loss to the Washington Redskins because of a right hip strain, and cornerback Orlando Scandrick injured his left forearm. Neither player returned to action Thursday. The Cowboys lost to Robert Griffith the Third and the Redskins, 38-31. Austin came down hard in the back of the end zone on the opening drive of the game when he took a hit from linebacker London Fletcher on an incomplete pass. Dallas was already without receiver Kevin Ogletree, who was inactive because of a concussion sustained Sunday. Scandrick was hurt when he was trying to make a tackle and was hit by teammate Anthony Spencer. Scandrick ran straight to the sideline holding his arm. Inside linebacker Bruce Carter also did not return to the game after an injury in the second half.
