June Unemployment Goes Up In The Valley

After two months of lower unemployment, the jobless rate spiked in the Rio Grande Valley last month. The June jobless rate jumped a full point in the Brownsville-Harlingen metro area to 7-point-6 percent. It rose 1-point-2 percent in the McAllen-Edinburg-Mission area to 8-point-2 percent.
