Another Key Procedural Vote On Coronavirus Bill Stalls In Senate

For the second time in three days, the Senate has failed to move a massive economic stimulus bill forward. A key procedural vote failed to hit a 60 vote threshold.

Republicans say a bill is ready and senators should get on with it due to the growing economic fallout from the coronavirus pandemic. Democrats argue that significant behind-the-scenes negotiations are continuing on a bipartisan stimulus package, covering roughly one-point-eight trillion dollars.
