Cameron County Reports 7th Case Of Covid-19

A seventh coronavirus case in Cameron County was confirmed last night, and health officials are investigating it as the first possible instance of a community spread. The individual who tested positive is a 40-year-old Rio Hondo man, and he is now in home isolation. At this point, officials say there is no evidence he contracted the virus outside of Cameron County. County Judge Eddie Trevino says this case makes it all the more important to abide by the stay at home order that is in effect throughout the county.
