CBP Officers Find A Ton And A Half Of Marijuana Under Broccoli Shipment


Customs and Border Protection says officers at the Pharr bridge seized a large amount of marijuana that was hidden beneath boxes of fresh broccoli in a tractor-trailer. The agency says the truck was sent to a secondary inspection on Saturday.

During the inspection, officers found 378 packages of marijuana weighing more than a ton and a half. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is handling the investigation into the shipment.
