Police in a Cameron County town say a driver’s nervous behavior led them to conduct a search that found nearly 250-thousand-dollars in his vehicle.
Officers with the Combes Police Department pulled over a southbound pickup truck on U.S. 77 Wednesday. During the traffic stop, the driver’s behavior and changing answer led them to search his truck. After finding the cash hidden throughout the vehicle, police seized the money and questioned driver Carlos Ibarra about its origin. Ibarra refused to cooperate with officers, and police say the case is under investigation.
