Condition Improves For San Marcos Officers Injured In Ambush

The condition is improving for two San Marcos Police officers injured in an ambush.

In a statement Friday, the police department reported that medical staffers say Officers Justin Mueller and Franco Stewart are doing much better, with Officer Mueller already being moved out of intensive care. They were seriously injured April 18th in an ambush shooting while responding to a domestic violence call during which their fellow Officer Justin Putnam was shot dead.

San Marcos Officer Paul Beller is also improving after getting hit by a vehicle in March.
