Coronavirus Cases Grow By 25 In Cameron County

Cameron County health officials confirmed this past weekend that 25 more people are infected with the coronavirus. 9 of those residents testing positive are from Harlingen and are between the ages of 69 and 88.

Health officials say all of the infections are linked to earlier infections but they did not specify if they are residents of the Veranda nursing home in Harlingen. 1 patient there tested positive for COVID-19 last Tuesday, and a total of 10 employees have also tested positive for the highly-contagious virus. Cameron County is now reporting a total of 87 cases of coronavirus.
