Hidalgo Reports 1 Death, 2 New COVID-19 Cases, Cameron County Reports 10 Cases


Late Monday evening Hidalgo County Health Officials reported the death of a 63 year old Alamo man who contracted COVID-19. The death brings the total for the county up to five.  Two new cases were reported by the county, along with a small drop in hospitalized patients.  The current total for the county is 310. With the four patients no longer being hospitalized, only 18 are being looked over, with another two in intensive care. Twenty were released from isolation on Monday.

Cameron County Public Health reported ten new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.  All but one were linked to previous cases.  The remaining case was travel related.  The current number of cases for Cameron County is 376, with 163 recovered individuals.
