House Okays Bill To Withdraw U.S. Forces From Yemen

A bill to withdraw U.S. military forces from Yemen is on its way to the Senate. The House approved the war powers resolution today on a 248-177 vote mostly along party lines. The resolution would require President Trump to withdraw military support from the Saudi-led coalition fighting Iran-backed rebels in Yemen.

The White House has threatened to veto the measure saying it would harm bilateral relationships. Democrats made a vote on the war in Yemen a top priority upon taking control of the House.
