The city of Edinburg has begun checking the businesses that are still open to make sure they’re complying with the city’s social distancing and hygiene order. The Stay Home, Work Safe order issued March 24th requires essential businesses to submit a plan that keeps workers and customers safe.

Now, the city is sending compliance teams to the estimated 12-hundred businesses that submitted plans to make sure they’re following through. Any business found to not be in compliance could be closed.
