McAllen Approves Migrant Relief Center Project

(McAllen, TX) — City leaders in McAllen are greenlighting the permit for a migrant relief center. The Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley center led by Sister Norma Pimentel got the city’s go-ahead vote Monday.

The new site is where a nightclub used to be near the downtown bus station. Catholic Charities is in the process of negotiating the purchase of the two story site from its current owner.
