McAllen Seeks Federal Reimbursement For Services Provided To Immigrants

McAllen Mayor Jim Darling says the federal government should cover the city’s immigrant assistance expenses.

The mayor says the cost of immigrants’ use of the city’s services such as transportation, shelter, food, clothing and health care should be covered by the federal government, not by local taxpayers.

Mayor Darling says FEMA should intervene with funding to help with expenses generated by the humanitarian border crisis.
