More Valley School Districts Extend Their School Closings

IDEA Public Schools has become the latest school district in the Valley to make the decision to call off on-campus classes for the remainder of the school year. IDEA joins the Rio Grande City CISD as the only other district to close campuses for the rest of the academic year. At least three other school districts, Brownsville, Edinburg and Mission, have postponed classes until further notice.

However, all school districts in the state of Texas will remain closed at least through this month, as Governor Greg Abbott announced this week in extending his statewide stay-at-home order. All of the districts are continuing to provide online distance learning programs for their students.
