Roma Police Officers Hit In The Eyes By Laser

Police in Roma are investigating after two officers were hit in the eyes with a laser beam. Assistant Chief Francisco García says the officers were hit directly in the eyes with the light which required that one of the two had to receive medical treatment.

García says it is not an isolated event and has been used as a distraction by cartel members in the past to try to make officers think they are the target of a laser sight on a weapon. So far, no arrests have been made.
