School Year Delayed In Willacy County

The start of the upcoming school year is being delayed in Willacy County. On Tuesday, Willacy County Judge Aurelio Guerra Junior issued an order to delay the start of the school year to September 18th for distance learning only and in-class learning can begin on September 21st.

The order applies to all public schools grades K-12 throughout the county’s districts.
