Suicidal Man Killed In Officer Involved Shooting In Edinburg


The Texas Rangers are investigating after a man was killed in an Edinburg Police officer involved shooting.

Police chief César Torres  provided a statement to members of the media which says on Wednesday night, the man with a knife was suicidal when he attacked officers responding to a call at a house on Pablo Street.

The statement says when officers first arrived, they found Hunter Allen in a bedroom holding a knife to his own throat. When he proceeded to lunge at them with the knife held at the ready and pointed at them, the officers tased and shot him.
