Third Nursing Home In Cameron County Has COVID-19 Outbreak


A third nursing home in Cameron County is confirmed to have had an outbreak of COVID-19.

Cameron County officials noted in Thursday’s release about new coronavirus cases that Spanish Meadows in Brownsville has had four employees and ten residents test positive for the virus. No deaths have been reported at Spanish Meadows.

The Windsor Atrium and Veranda nursing homes in the county have had a combined total of 70 employees and 121 residents test positive for the virus, with 26 deaths.
