Texas Governor Greg Abbott is using the waning days of the state legislative session to push for a big change to the way that bail is handed out. He spoke about it this week to the Texas Border Sheriffs Coalition.
The governor claims that activist judges are letting career criminals back onto the streets, where they are committing more crime. There are several different bills before the state legislature that would expand the list of crimes that qualify for no bail.
