Two men are in custody after a police officer fired shots at a stolen vehicle yesterday in Donna. Investigators say the officer pulled over a yellow Jeep around 6 a.m. as it headed toward the Donna International Bridge.
The suspect driving the Jeep allegedly accelerated toward the officer, leading him to fire his weapon at the vehicle. The two men were taken into custody after they abandoned the Jeep in a cornfield. The Texas Rangers are investigating the shooting.
