San Antonio Mayor’s Race, Four City Council Seats Headed For Runoffs

The San Antonio mayor’s race is headed for a runoff. There were 27 candidates on the ballot in Saturday’s election, and none of them got more than 50 percent of the vote.

The top vote-getters were Gina Ortiz Jones, with just over 27 percent, and Rolando Pablos with nearly 17 percent. In addition, four City Council elections are on their way to the runoff, while the other six races were settled on Saturday. The runoff elections are scheduled for June 7th.
