BCSO Arrests Human Smuggling Suspects Including Tren De Aragua Member

Five people believed to be involved in a human smuggling operation are in custody following their arrests on Wednesday in Bexar County.

Mary Lou Tula and Jose Vega are charged with human smuggling. Tula is also charged with running a stash house. Alexis Fernandez is a suspected member of the Tren de Aragua crime gang. He and Vega are illegal immigrants. Brandon Suarez and Bryan Suarez face drug charges.

Along with Tula, they’re believed to be US citizens. A sixth suspect is believed to be a member of Tren de Aragua, but hasn’t yet been arrested.
