Men Arrested After San Benito Armored Car Theft Investigation

Three men face charges after allegedly planning an armored car theft in San Benito. Police arrested Reymundo Cerda, Benjamin Eckersley and Gilberto De Leon, Junior on Tuesday.

Investigators say Cerda and Eckersley deliberately left their service truck unattended on February 11th, allowing De Leon to enter it using a spare key.

Over 115-thousand dollars was allegedly stolen from the truck. All three men were charged with money laundering, while Cerda and De Leon were also charged with theft of cargo.
