The Texas Renaissance Festival will soon have new owners. Two years ago, owner George Coulam reportedly entered into a sales agreement with buyers. But he reportedly failed to provide the necessary documentation to complete the deal when the time came.

A Grimes County judge ruled that the sale must proceed as originally planned. The judge also awarded the plaintiffs more than 22 million dollars in damages. Festival representatives say the 51st season of the Texas Renaissance Festival will proceed as usual this fall.
