The state Democratic Party is reportedly dropping a resolution to condemn Laredo Congressman Henry Cuellar.

The Texas Tribune says the resolution was pulled over legal concerns tied to denying Cuellar access to the party’s voter file. The party allegedly wanted to punish Cuellar for supporting major Republican bills, not hosting in-person town halls and being indicted on federal corruption charges.

Cuellar welcomed the news in a statement, calling the resolution misguided and divisive.
