Man Arrested In Brownsville After Puppies Found Inside Hot Car

A Brownsville man is facing animal cruelty charges after puppies were found inside a hot car.

Police officers were called to the area of East St. Francis Street and Sam Perl Boulevard around 2 p.m. on Saturday. They found that the car did not have proper ventilation and that the puppies showed signs of distress.

The puppies were turned over to Brownsville Animal Services, while Jose Alberto Rivas was arrested and given a six-thousand-dollar bond.
