The No Tax on Tips Act is moving on to the US House after it passed with unanimous bipartisan support in the Senate on Tuesday. Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas introduced the bill earlier this year.

The bill establishes a new tax deduction of up to 25-thousand dollars a year for tips. President Donald Trump suggested the idea during his campaign and Democrats also supported it. Eliminating taxes on tips is also expected to be included in the House GOP’s megabill.
