A plan to ban cell phones in Texas public schools is gaining support. It’s backed by anti-bullying activists, who say the access to social media is making classrooms dangerous.
Maureen Molak’s son, David, committed suicide after being bullied online. Much of that happened, she says, while he was at school. The bill in the State Legislature would ban cell phones starting at the opening bell, all the way to when class lets out for the day.
