It’s graduation season, which should be a time for celebration. Many college graduates are now faced with a mountain of student loans, which is being exploited by scam artists.
Jason Meza with the Better Business Bureau of Texas says that new grads need to be wary of claims from companies that promise to get debt erased. If someone asks for cash up front, in order to negotiate debt relief, he says that’s also a red flag.
