0

The Edinburg school district is exploring potential changes to its current weapons policies. The school board voted Tuesday to hire the Moak Casey consulting firm to investigate those policies and how they are being implemented at district schools.

The decision comes after a gun and a loaded magazine were found in a student’s backpack at Edinburg North High School on May 6th. The consultants will review that and any other relevant incidents and then make recommendations to the district.
