A former ICE contractor is headed to federal prison for her role in a human smuggling attempt. Thirty-six-year-old Nancy Fernandez Luna of Pharr was sentenced to 21 months behind bars yesterday.
Investigators say Fernandez used her government ID and fake transport manifests to transport illegal aliens within the U.S. She was arrested last October on a bus carrying 39 people who were illegally in the country.
