San Antonio and Bexar County are issuing disaster declarations and asking for state assistance. This comes after flash flooding across the area killed 13 people last week.
The declaration was issued yesterday afternoon, stating “extraordinary measures must be taken to alleviate the suffering of people and to protect or rehabilitate property.”
A review and analysis is being conducted by the city, including independent engineering and expert evaluation for what caused the flooding.
