The U.S. Consulate is warning Americans away from a highway in Mexico. A Friday announcement warned travelers of recent disappearances on the highway between Monterrey and Reynosa.
The Secretary of Security in Reynosa says travelers should avoid the highway at night. U.S. government employees are not being allowed to travel to cities in the Tamaulipas region using interior highways, while the State Department has placed the region on a Level Four travel advisory due to crime and kidnapping.
