Police in Pharr are not releasing many details about an investigation that led to capital murder charges against two people. Miguel Ortiz, Junior and Karina Ramirez were charged on Monday.
A city spokesperson says the charges were placed after officers found a two-month-old child dead during a welfare check on Sunday.
Ortiz was also charged with possession of marijuana and tampering with evidence and was given a five-million-dollar bond. Ramirez was given a three-million-dollar bond.
