Educators in McAllen will be getting a raise during the next school year. The school district’s Board of Trustees approved the compensation for district employees during a meeting yesterday.
A social media post by the school district noted that teachers with one to two years of experience will see an annual increase of more than 15-hundred dollars.
Those with three to four years will get 25-hundred dollars, while those with five years or more will get five-thousand dollars. Non-teaching professional staff will get a two-point-five-percent increase, while hourly staff will get 75-cents more an hour.
