An Edinburg man has been arrested after a chase initiated by a state trooper. The Texas Department of Public Safety says 26-year-old Tristan Andrew Mares refused to stop for the trooper while riding a motorcycle in Donna on Monday night.
The chase ended in a crash in the area of 25th Street and Freddy Gonzalez Drive in Edinburg. The trooper was reportedly injured while trying to arrest Mares. Mares was booked yesterday on a charge of evading arrest.
