By A former South Texas federal prosecutor is running for Congress. Eric Flores announced his campaign for 34th District congressional seat Monday.
Flores served as a municipal judge in Alton before becoming an assistant U.S. Attorney in 2021. He left that job in January and then decided to run for Congress. He hopes to win the Republican nomination so he can challenge Democratic Congressman Vicente Gonzalez next year.
