The executive committee of the Republican Party of Texas is reportedly making plans to keep certain House Republicans off the 2026 primary ballot.

The committee met in Austin on Saturday to draw up a list of censurable offenses by some party members who haven’t always gone along with the state party’s conservative priorities.

The party’s censure effort is described as a new accountability mechanism the state party approved at last year’s convention. It’s also described as a hit list to keep “RINOs” off the ballot.
