Rio Grande Valley school districts have received their grades for the 2024-25 school year. The Texas Education Agency released its letter grades for schools around the state last week.
Most school districts in Hidalgo County received a grade of C or better, though the Monte Alto school district received a D for its performance. The South Texas ISD was the only district in Cameron County to receive an A, with six of the ten districts in the county receiving a B.
One-hundred and 81 schools in the Rio Grande Valley earned an A, with 113 of those schools in Hidalgo County.
