By The Texas Workforce Commission has awarded just over a million dollars in grants to several Rio Grande Valley school districts.
The awards announced Wednesday will go to the Edinburg, Roma, South Texas and Weslaco school systems and Texas Southmost College.
The grants are part of the Jobs and Education for Texans program, which helps schools offer training for high-demand careers such as healthcare and welding.
