A South Texas man has been found guilty of a deadly shooting in San Perlita. Jose Villalobos was convicted on charges of murder and aggravated assault yesterday in Willacy County.
Villalobos was arrested in 2023 after a shooting that killed 18-year-old Arturo Sauceda and wounded Sauceda’s mother. He was sentenced to 40 years on the murder charge and 20 years for aggravated assault, with the sentences to run concurrently.
