Four people are facing federal charges following the discovery of two stash houses in Hidalgo County. The suspects made their first court appearance Thursday morning in McAllen.
Federal investigators reportedly found about two-dozen illegal immigrants in stash houses in Edinburg and Donna earlier this week.
The suspects are charged with harboring and transporting people who are illegally in the U.S., and could reportedly face up to ten years in prison if convicted.
