South Texas Congressman Vicente Gonzalez is talking about his recent meeting with Pope Leo the 14th in Vatican City.

Gonzalez met with the Pope on Saturday as part of the 16th annual meeting of the International Catholic Legislators Network. He was part of a bipartisan delegation of Catholic congressional members who attended the meeting.

The Democratic congressman said the Pope challenged the delegates to build a world rooted in hope, conscience and solidarity. Gonzalez also said that his Catholic faith made meeting the first American Pope “the highest honor.
