A woman is under investigation after trying to leave the U.S. with 137 thousand dollars in undeclared currency.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection stopped the woman as she attempted to cross the Gateway International Bridge on Friday.
A secondary inspection found the money hidden in the vehicle and led to the unidentified woman’s arrest. She was turned over to the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office for additional investigation.
