A man will spend four years in prison for his role in a deadly 2023 street race. Daniel Vallejo was sentenced yesterday in Cameron County.

Police say a Chevy Silverado was racing a Ford Mustang in Rio Hondo on FM 106 east of Nelson Road nearly two years ago. The Silverado crashed into a Saturn Outlook, killing 42-year-old Jorge Villanueva.

Vallejo was found guilty of manslaughter and was facing up to 20 years in prison.
