Police are investigating an unusual shooting in Progreso. Public Works Director Jose Moreno was taken to the hospital after being shot in the hand yesterday.
Moreno reportedly told police that someone in a black truck was following him on Gonzalez Road, and that he pulled over to talk to them.
A man with a mohawk allegedly confronted Moreno, who said he was shot as they struggled over a gun. Police say they are still trying to locate the crime scene.
