The City of Starbase needs to borrow more money from Space-X. The Starbase City Commission, which is made up entirely of current or former Space-X employees, voted unanimously Wednesday night to borrow another million dollars from the private space technology company that is also its largest landowner.
Starbase, which will not collect property taxes until 2026, borrowed one-and-a-half-million-dollars back in June. The city plans to pay back the zero-percent-interest loans next year.
