Weekly Jobless Claims Down

(Washington, DC) — Weekly jobless claims are down, falling more than most analysts had expected last week.

The Labor Department says it received 231-thousand first-time requests in the week ending September 13th. That’s a decline of 33-thousand from the previous week’s revised total and less than the forecast of 240-thousand.
