New details are being released about the ICE raids at McAllen businesses last week. Federal officials say at least 22 people were arrested for visa fraud at Cardenas General Merchandise,
Jem’s Textil Recycling LLC and Trebol De Oro on Thursday. The detainees were reportedly employees that were identified to agents by their managers.
Authorities said most of the workers provided a B-1 or B-2 visa card, which permits Mexican citizens to visit the U.S. but not to be employed.
