The U.S. Supreme Court is taking up a gun rights case. And it comes out of the state of Texas. Ali Hemani was arrested for the possession of marijuana.
In his home near Dallas, the FBI also found a pistol. And he was indicted for being a drug user in possession of a firearm. Hemani’s lawyers argue that the law violates the Second Amendment. More than 30 states have laws preventing drug users from owning a gun.
